Spencer and Lloyd Harvey are a sister/brother writer and director duo born in Sydney, Australia.
They won an Academy Nicholl Fellowship in 2016 for their feature screenplay Photo Booth, which is currently under option with the pair attached to direct. They are also in development with Chernin Entertainment and AMC/Sundance channel with a one-hour television dramedy series based on their original pitch; We’re Really Happy.
They have written and directed a series of short films. Their film The Gift premiered at Melbourne International Film Festival in 2013. It won “Best Short” Audience Award Grand Prize at Rhode Island International Film Festival. Their short Film Jack & Jill was featured on Season 3 of Austin Film Festival’s “On Story”. Their film Sorry Baby was selected for Tropfest Australia 2013. In 2017, Spencer and Lloyd were listed on the "2017 Young & Hungry List" of Hollywood’s top 100 new writers. In 2018, they were selected to represent Screen Australia among sixteen Australian creatives for the Talent L.A. initiative.
The siblings are also fine art photographers. Their work has been exhibited in the National Portrait Prize and shortlisted for The Moran Photographic Prize in Australia.
